What is Haiku?
Haiku is a form of Japanese poetry. Haiku are comprised of 3 phrases. Traditional haiku was made-up of 17 syllables (5:7:5) but contemporary haiku in English will often ignore this. A haiku is typically about nature, the earth and the natural world. As with other forms of poetry it is designed to be thought-provoking.
